At three in 1942, he won: the Myrtlewood Handicap over Quien Es, the winner of the 1942 Great Lakes Handicap, and Smacked, the winner of the 1943 San Simeon Handicap; and the Arkansas Derby setting a new stakes record over Cerberus and Columbus Day.
This last race was the sixth straight win for With Regards.
He was second: in the Autumn Handicap to Riverland and ahead of Stinging Bee, the winner of the 1942 Bay Meadows Handicap; in the American Derby to Alsab and ahead of Anticlimax, the winner of the 1942 Clark Handicap; and in the Hawthorne Handicap to Daily Trouble and ahead of Best Seller, the winner of the 1942 and 1943 Equipoise Mile Handicap.
With Regards finished third in the Arlington Classic behind Shut Out and Valdina Orphan, the winner of the 1942 Dwyer Stakes.
He was fourth in the 1942 Kentucky Derby and didn’t start in either the Preakness or the Belmont Stakes.
At four in 1943, With Regards won: the American Legion Handicap over Water Pearl, the winner of the 1943 Pharoah Purse, and Pompion, the winner of the 1943 Camden Handicap; the Paumonock Handicap 2nd Division over Pompion and Boysy, the winner of the 1942 Quaker City Handicap; the Voter Handicap over Dit, the winner of the 1940 Wood Memorial, and The Rhymer, the winner of the 1942 Widener Handicap; and the Aqueduct Handicap over Apache, the winner of the 1942 Wilson Stakes, and First Fiddle, the winner of the 1945 Massachusetts Handicap.
He was second: in the Trenton Handicap to Aonbarr and ahead of Boysy; in the Toboggan Handicap to Devil Diver and ahead of Thumbs Up, the winner of the 1945 Santa Anita Handicap; in the Laurel Stakes to Shut Out and ahead of Son of Peace, the winner of the 1943 Potomac Handicap; in the Capital Handicap 2nd Division to Challamore and ahead of Pompion; in the Valley Forge Handicap to Cassis and ahead of Mettlesome, the winner of the 1941 Janney Handicap.
At five in 1943, With Regards finished third in the Clang Handicap behind the filly Happy Issue and Corona Corona, the winner of the 1944 Steger Handicap.
With Regards was retired to stud after being banned from racing for refusing twice in a row to break from gate in races. According to his trainer Ted Grimes, “He'd break okay in the mornings, but not in the afternoon.”
