As duas mais importantes carreiras destinadas apenas para as éguas na Breeders Cup, são disputadas no meio fundo. Os 2,000 metros da Filly and Mare e os 1,800m da Distaff.

Neste setor, independentemente do tipo da pista, existe uma supremacia da descendencia de Mr. Prospector, na razão de 11 para 8. E entre os Mr. Prospector, sente-se uma maior força, advinda do ramo de Fappiano, principalmente via Unbridled, - cinco elementos - um cavalo que ganhou tanto o Kentucky Derby, quanto a Breeders Cup Classic.

Entre os Northern Dancers, a preferência fica a cargo da descendencia do igualmente meio fundo Sadlers Wells - também com cinco.

Outrossim, nota-se uma maior intensidade entre as 21 concorrentes, nos elementos que tenham imbreeds (15) e Rasmussen factor (8), contra 8 de pedigrees considerados abertos. E um dado que para mim, é de suma importância: uma muito mais expressiva amostragem de linhas maternas, que considero consagradas.

Na grama a parada me parece duríssima, sem alguém que possa ser considerada, seguramente uma favorita destacada. Por isto acho que uma trifecta que contenha Dank, Secret Gesture, Stephanie's Kitten e Just the Judge, me parece apropriada.

No dirt, continuo achando que coisa deverá ser decidida mesmo, entre Untapable e Close Hatches. São as duas que sobram em classe. O resto me parece figurante.
