John Murtagh (Balmont Mast, 2nd) – “The trainer was very happy with the horse before the race and he was right, because he was ready. I though the winner might falter close home. I'd have caught him if he had, but he didn't. As well as my horse has run, it's always tough to be beaten a neck in a Group 1 race."
Kieren Fallon (Krypton Factor, 3rd) – “I was drawn 13 and the wide draw probably cost us getting closer. We’ve been beaten less than a length but still a very good run.”

Martin Pedroza (Private Zone, 9th) – “It was a little disappointing. He got warm, it’s a hot day. We were traveling so easy for much of the race. If you look, as we turn for home he was still cruising. I thought there’d be more to come from the horse but he was flat when I asked him to quicken.”
Willie Martinez (Trinniberg, 11th) – “I wasn’t happy being drawn low. He’s run okay off a long layoff and he handled the track okay. We’ll get him home and there will be other days.
Ryan Moore (Taisei Legend, 12th) – “He was flat today. He felt tired. He took the front but when the other horse was coming, he could not follow. I think he didn’t feel good – maybe tired.”
idan O’Brien (trainer of Reply, 13th) – “We wanted to run him in the (Godolphin) Mile but he didn’t get in. We had to come here instead and he’s a horwse that wold want seben furlongs or a mile.”
